about

Not "pure" chiptune, but the 8-bit music of old school video games is clearly the entire influence behind this project. Early game consoles and the music they contain offer me a nostalgic consolation - hence the title.

This style of music is also unique in that it offers a very limited palette in terms of sounds, as well as in the articulation of those sounds. With few options for shaping timbre or expressing dynamics, the composer must focus on drawing his emotional response strictly from composition and arrangement.
